Keynote Presentations - Sir Angus Deaton, Ph.D. & Anne Case Ph.D., Princeton University  Expert Panel Sessions: Pain in Pediatric Populations; Mid-Life Pain & Special Populations; Pain Management in Older Adults; Junior Investigator Presentations; Mitchell Max Award Presentation

On May 30th – May 31st, 2019, the NIH Pain Consortium will convene the 14th Annual NIH Pain Consortium Symposium on Advances in Pain Research. The symposium: “Pain Across the Lifespan,” will feature a keynote address by Drs. Anne Case and Sir Angus Deaton of Princeton University, entitled “Pain and Opioids in an Epidemic of Mental and Economic Distress.” It will also feature a Pain Patient’s Perspective, and expert panel sessions on Pain in Pediatric Populations; Mid-life Pain & Special Populations; and Pain Management in Older Adults. A poster session featuring junior investigators selected by NIH Program staff, will include a broad selection of current pain research findings. Members of the extramural scientific community, the NIH Scientific community, health care providers and the public are invited to attend.
